Chapter 5 and Wow!

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of a post the other week, so I'll kinda cram last week and this week together. First off, Chapter 5 of Relic is live and things arent looking too much better for Reyes. Hopefully her crazy plan works in the next chapter :-P

And second, last weeks installment saw a huge spike in visits to my humble web site and I want to thank everyone for coming by. And I also want to thank my new subscribers! Keep tuning in every week, and I promise to deliver the best adventures I can. Also, thank you for the kind compliments! I really appreciate it. Relic has been a really fun experiment for me. I've worked as a professional artist for over 17 years and this personal project is the easily the most fun I've ever worked on.

I'll work on getting a process post together to showcase how a page is put together, from initial thumbnail to finished color image.

Untill next week!

Chapter 3!

Relic continues with Chapter 3, which went live earlier today!

Once again, I want to thank everyone for taking a moment out of their day to visit my humble comic. The metrics suggest a steady viewership, so again, I thank you!

Question, Is there interest in a process post? I always appreciate process posts, so I'd be more than happy to provide one.

See ya next week!

Chapter 2 is live!

Hi thanks for visiting (and taking the time to read the blog section). As you should be able to see, Chapter 2 of Relic is live! If you dig what you see, please spread the word. Or even leave a comment. I'd love to hear from you.

I also have a Facebook page where I am sharing higher resolution images of Relic pages, along with other art. You can find it here: https://www.facebook.com/comicsbyrage/?ref=aymt_homepage_panel. Toss it a like or a follow, if you are feeling so inclined!

Reminder that Relic updates every Thursday. I'm pretty excited to share the next chapter with y'all so dont forget to tune in next week :-)

Follow Along!

As Relic gets underway, I'll try to keep this blog going. I'll warn ya in advance, I'm not the best blogger but I'll do my best. In light of this, I want to toss out that I am fairly active on Twitter and Instagram. On Twitter, I tend to RT comic art (and cool art in general) that I follow, along with pop culture news (games, movies). Rarely political stuff, if ever. I post a lot of art on Instagram, so its a great place to see what I'm working on. I also share WIP of Relic pages on Instagram as well. I've also recently gotten big into drone videography and I recently started a YouTube channel featuring my videos. You can also catch shorter cuts of said videos on Instagram.

So, on Twitter you can follow me @rnattam

On Instagram, just search for Rajeev Nattam

And for Youtube, head here: https://www.youtube.com/user/CheeYeez

And if you are reading this, you've taken the time to come here and check out Relic and I want to thank you for visiting! It means a lot to me and I hope you stick around for the adventures ahead.

See ya star side!

Beginnings...

Hello and thanks for visting Relic! Relic is a weekly, webcomic that updates every Thursday and chronicles the adventures of Lieutenant-Commander Reyes. Its also an excuse for me to actually to try and draw and deliver a weekly strip featuring stuff I dig like action, spaceships, cool creatures, etc etc :-)

A little about me: I'm an aged veteran of the videogame industry, having made videogames for the past 17 years. I've worked on Destiny, Halo, Ratchet and Clank among others. You can see some of the work I've created over the years here: https://www.artstation.com/artist/rajnattam. You may see some things you recognize :-)

I'm also a big comic fan and I've always wanted to take a crack at making my own comics. This past year I took my first stab at doing just that, sharing strips I've created at this site: http://comicsbyrage.thecomicseries.com/comics/1/. Its all a bit rough but all in the spirit of having fun and learning.

Relic is a bit of a step up for me, where I commit myself to delivering a weekly strip for a serialized story. The idea for Relic has been kicking around in my head for the past year, inspired by a sketch I randomly drew (which I will share once I can find it...). Its really an oppurtunity for me to continue to develop my skills and have a bit of fun. And hopefully you'll dig what you see and come back every week for the next chapter.

So please, bookmark Relic and swing by every Thursday for more sci-fi action/adventure on a mysterious uncharted planet! And if you like what you see, please tell a friend/spread the word :-)

See ya starside!
